What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting Providers: Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers, addressing claims, status updates, denial rationales, appeals, and routing.
  • Handling Authorizations: Manage authorizations, utilization management appeals, and prior authorization verification, ensuring seamless communication with providers and patients.
  • Addressing Eligibility and Benefits Inquiries: Interpret medical benefit grids, address eligibility and benefits inquiries, and provide clear guidance on self-service options.
  • Documenting Provider Inquiries: Accurately document provider inquiries, route information, and educate on self-service options, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Respond to incoming calls, resolve inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer experiences, exceeding provider and patient expectations.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, demonstrating your ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • 1-2 Years of High-Volume Call Center Experience: Proven experience in a high-volume call center setting, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with providers, patients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong Typing and Analytical Abilities: Proficient typing skills and analytical abilities, allowing you to navigate complex healthcare data and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Active Listening, Problem-Solving, and Multitasking Skills: Strong active listening, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, ensuring you can handle multiple priorities and resolve complex issues.

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • 1-2 Years of Experience in a Medical Office Setting: Previous experience in a medical office setting, providing you with a deeper understanding of healthcare operations and workflows.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience with Healthcare Insurance: Familiarity with healthcare insurance, enabling you to navigate complex insurance policies and regulations.
  • Medicaid Experience: Experience with Medicaid, a highly valued asset in this role, as you'll be working with Medicaid providers and patients.
