Role Description

As a Product Engineer at Dropbox, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of collaboration and file sharing. Your responsibilities will revolve around developing and enhancing our suite of Dropbox Products to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, turning innovative ideas into robust, scalable, and user-friendly features.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building scalable software to reach millions of daily users.
  • Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and analysts to understand user needs and develop products that meet those needs.
  • Developing and executing short and long-term roadmaps, balancing business impact, user experience, and technical quality.
  • Actively contributing to our team and company culture through mentorship, participation in interviews, and involvement in new initiatives.
  • Supporting fellow engineers through feedback, code reviews, and improvement of internal tools and processes.

On-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable and high-quality experience for our customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering or related industry roles.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and deploying large-scale web applications with a user-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in building user-facing software and supporting web/desktop systems and libraries.
  • Ability to handle full-stack projects and deliver minimum viable products efficiently.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations if required by the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Contributions to open source projects or technical communities
  • Full-Stack Development
  • Technologies: JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Python, MySQL, Go, Java, Rust

Compensation

Through our assessment process, we will identify your level that ties to compensation based on your experience and technical expertise along with the scope of the role. 

Dropbox applies increased tax deductible costs to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an “author”) for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.

If you are assessed at the IC2 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):

200,600 zł — 271,400 zł PLN

If you are assessed at the IC3 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):

256,700 zł- — 347,300 zł PLN
