Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team at The Homestead at Rochester Campus! We’re seeking a dynamic recruiter who is passionate about connecting great people with meaningful careers in senior living. While we prefer candidates who can work in a hybrid schedule, we are open to remote applicants as well. The Talent Acquisition Partner utilizes expertise to attract, assess, and hire top talent for VOANS by implementing effective recruitment strategies, building strong candidate pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization. Salary: $66,262-$73,500 Schedule: Hybrid: This position works 3 days on-site and 2 days remote each week. Remote: This position works 100% remotely.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience (4 years), such as recruitment, human resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a healthcare recruiter; three (3) years preferred.
  • Willingness to travel in-state/out of state occasionally for Training, Job Fairs, and/or Corporate meetings.

  • Demonstrated ability to overcommunicate updates and progress prior to meetings, ensuring strong alignment and transparency.
  • Exceptionally organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable recruiting for roles in a fast-paced or crisis situation, maintaining composure and adaptability under pressure.
  • Proven success partnering closely with HR Business Partners in a tag-team approach to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Brings creative, outside-the-box ideas for building relationships and community awareness, particularly within the Rochester area.
  • Comfortable organizing and leading job fairs and community events; if local, will take the lead in representing the organization at these events.
  • Willingness to step in and provide support or coverage for fellow Talent Acquisition Partners when needed.
  • A collaborative team player who values shared success, proactive communication, and relationship-building across departments.

Essential Functions/areas of Accountability:

  • Train and develop hiring managers on the recruitment strategies and processes to achieve recruiting objectives.
  • Ensure pro-active partnership with Operations and Human Resources to meet or exceed recruiting objectives.
  • Develop geographically specific, pro-active and non-traditional recruitment strategies for nurses and CNA’s to achieve hiring goals within budget expectations (direct mail, classifieds, employee referral, University Recruitment, relocation recruitment, etc.).
  • Participate in the development, training and maintenance of recruitment and retention plan for assigned communities.
  • Partner with Human Resource Representative or designee to identify and problem solve to overcome recruiting/retention obstacles in the areas of turnover, market conditions, management challenges and specific issues.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor, on time and within budget
  • Timely and accurate management of applicant database, with coordinating reporting requirements as outlined by Director of Talent Acquisitions.
