If so, we want to hear from you! blithequark Retail Services is currently seeking part-time/casual Customer Service & Sales Assistants to join our team at various locations across the Ithaca Campus and Downtown Ithaca Location. As a Customer Service & Sales Assistant at blithequark, you will be the face of our brand, providing legendary customer service, and driving sales through active selling and product knowledge. You will work closely with our team to maintain a high-quality shopping experience, ensuring that every customer leaves our stores feeling valued and satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:

* Greet and welcome customers, providing a positive and engaging shopping experience

  • Demonstrate active selling skills, sharing product knowledge and offering solutions to customer needs
  • Maintain a high-quality visual merchandising environment, including setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays
  • Operate cash registers, assist with check-out, and execute cash handling procedures
  • Support inventory management, including receiving and processing incoming merchandise, and assisting with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests
  • Provide exceptional customer care, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Work successfully as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

* Pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills

  • Moderate computer/systems competency
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required
