Business Development Manager - Latin America

About the position We are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to lead our Latin America team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the formation and execution of our Latin America Group strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of the economic, political, and social factors that influence the Latin America market. You will work with the Global Head of Sectors, Markets and Themes, who will be responsible for defining and executing our global sector, markets and themes strategy, as well as the Co-Heads of our Latin America Group and its communities across key product areas and key offices to deliver on the group's strategy, which will include driving client development, opportunity spotting, market analysis, overseeing profile raising activities and evaluating return on investment. Responsibilities

  • Identify and leverage opportunities for growth within the Latin America market.
  • Enhance the firm's market position and ensure the delivery of integrated legal solutions to clients.
  • Ensure the Latin America group collaborates with sector, themes and global strategic client teams to develop priority clients and prospects.
  • Drive and support disciplined client outreach and relationship activity across the markets.
  • Foster cross-product collaboration with global business units and knowledge, education and thought leadership teams.
  • Maximize client relationship building and reputation enhancing opportunities through marketing and events programmes.
  • Prepare lawyer teams for pivotal business development and relationship meetings.
  • Leverage Client Insight & Business Intelligence Team to inform strategic marketing decisions.
  • Increase visibility of upcoming client meetings to drive cross-selling.
  • Lead brand and reputational activities for the Latin America region.
  • Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies leveraging market insights.
  • Stay updated with developments in Latin American markets and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key market participants.
  • Ensure core marketing and pitch materials are updated and accessible.
  • Implement best practices across the legal directory process.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business development, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is required.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical proficiency and familiarity with tools like CRM and Mergermarket.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, law, or related field; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • Must be able to adhere to the Firm's Agile Working Policy.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits and compensation package.
  • Salary range for this role is $180,000 - $225,000.
