Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team of talented professionals. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to support arenaflex's business and information science needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges, and collaborate with data scientists to integrate calculations and models into automated processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop data pipelines to collect, process, and normalize data from various sources
- Create ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from multiple sources and load it into a centralized repository
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate calculations and models into automated processes
- Work with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and develop scalable data architectures
- Develop strong data models and data stores to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensure data quality and accessibility by incorporating data from various sources and adhering to data quality and openness standards
- Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key functions and suggest solutions
- Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements directed by the model or use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry and its data-related challenges
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)
Skills and Competencies
* Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other programming languages
