Responsibilities
As an Experienced Data Analyst on our Transportation Analytics crew, you'll be responsible for:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and provide critical insights to inform business decisions
- Developing data visualizations to communicate complex information and quantify the impact of changes and challenges
- Engaging with cross-functional teams to establish credibility and drive business outcomes
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks and improve efficiency
- Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues to foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration
Key Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manage data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
- Creativity and a user experience (UX) focus to design impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
- Business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root-cause business problems (ideally with a supply chain or transportation background)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, as well as experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, would be a significant asset. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or other tools such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc. would also be beneficial.
