Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly and welcoming shopping experience for all customers
- Developing and maintaining customer relationships, recognizing regular customers, and learning their preferences
- Completing customer transactions efficiently, accurately, and with a smile
- Maintaining knowledge of merchandise, sale items, and store promotions to provide informed and personalized recommendations
- Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve maximum productivity and meet sales targets
- Assisting with training and development of new team members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, adhering to arenaflex's high standards of cleanliness and safety
Technical Expertise
* Knowledgeable on how to change gas prices after receiving information from management
- Responsible for assisting with fuel inventory controls, monitoring fuel pumps for drive-offs, and performing monthly preventative maintenance checks
- Familiarity with arenaflex's inventory management systems and procedures
Communication
* Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
- Reporting any accidents, maintenance issues, or customer incidents to management immediately and completing proper paperwork
- Communicating career opportunities and recruiting potential store personnel
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant experience in the retail/convenience store industry
- Understanding of federal, state, and local laws as they apply to retail sales
- Basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to speak, read, understand, and write the English language at an eighth-grade level
- Common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
- Ability to resolve job-related problems and organize priorities for self and others
- Sufficient visual acuity and ability to hear
- Ability to tolerate gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Ability to enter and work in a cooler at 30 degrees or below for 1 hour or less
- Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours at a time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and reliably get to and from work
