Accounts Receivable/Credit Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Credit Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and monitoring accounts with past due invoices, effectively communicating with customers to resolve these issues, and following up as needed. Additionally, the role involves making informed decisions on holding accounts or orders when necessary, and coordinating with sales representatives and account support to resolve invoice disputes.

Responsibilities

Identify and monitor accounts for past due invoices and communicate with customers to resolve issues. Decide when to hold certain accounts or orders if they become severely past due or unresponsive. Release orders for accounts that may exceed their current credit limit. Work collaboratively with sales representatives and account support colleagues to resolve invoice disputes. Essential Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Customer service experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional or corporate setting Excellent communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Quick learner Positive attitude Detail-oriented Self-starter with the ability to handle challenging interactions with the sales team Work Environment Join a rapidly growing company with a strategy focused on organic growth and internal promotions. The work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break for lunch. The role will initially be onsite for five days a week, but after conversion or within 2-3 months, there may be an opportunity for 1-3 designated remote workdays. The dress code is business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
