Key Responsibilities
- * Review and accurately code medical diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- * Enter and verify patient data in billing systems with precision and confidentiality
- * Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or via paper claims
- * Resolve insurance claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies
- * Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing and coding guidelines and regulations
- * Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable healthcare laws
- * Assist with account follow-up and collections, when required
- * Work collaboratively within a remote team setting to achieve billing efficiency and accuracy
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- * High school diploma or GED (Associate degree or certification in medical coding is a plus)
- * Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- * Reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment

- * No prior experience in medical billing or coding is required
- * Full training and certification assistance will be provided
