Merchandise Designer, APAC

The APAC Merchandise Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing CHAGEE APAC’s merchandise across the Asia Pacific region. This role focuses on creating visually compelling, on-brand merchandise designs that support marketing campaigns, brand storytelling, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong design background, experience in merchandise or product design, and a solid understanding of retail and F&B branding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Merchandise Design: Design creative and on-brand merchandise items, including promotional products, seasonal items, and campaign-related merchandise.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all merchandise designs align with CHAGEE APAC’s brand guidelines and visual identity.
  • Concept Development: Develop creative concepts and design directions for merchandise collections and campaigns.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with branding, marketing, merchandise planning, and procurement teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
  • Design Execution: Prepare design files, mockups, and specifications for production.
  • Material & Production Awareness: Consider materials, finishes, and production methods during the design process to ensure practicality and quality.
  • Trend Research: Stay updated on merchandise, lifestyle, and retail design trends within APAC markets.
  • Feedback & Iteration: Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve designs.
  • Presentation: Present design concepts, mood boards, and prototypes to stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects and ensure timely delivery.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience in merchandise, product, or graphic design within retail or F&B industries.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Excellent creativity with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of branding, visual storytelling, and consumer appeal.
  • Experience working with suppliers and understanding production processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
