Associate, Business Development

Letko, Brosseau & Associates is one of Canada’s leading independent global investment managers. They are seeking an Associate in Business Development to help capture new business across various distribution platforms and introduce investment strategies to potential clients.

Responsibilities

  • Research, build relationships and develop a pipeline of opportunities through outbound prospecting via phone calls, emails, social media and other means
  • Qualify inbound leads and manage the initial stages of the sales pipeline
  • Conduct research to identify potential prospects and decision-makers within targeted accounts
  • Work with Investment Services/Business Development team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Set up meetings and appointments for the Senior Business Development team with qualified leads
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in our CRM system
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement lead-generation strategies
  • Provide feedback to help improve our products, services, and processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • Participate in the weekly sales and business development meeting
  • Collaborate with other teams as needed and perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate superior

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business development in insurance, banking or financial industry
  • Proactive, self-starter and highly motivated
  • Disciplined individual with a high energy level and a progressive business attitude
  • Goal-oriented with a passion for sales
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding relationship builder, you build trust through respect and authenticity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in CRM software and other prospecting tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo and other software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Bilingualism would be an asset (French and English)
