Finance Associate (German - speaking)
Due to business expansion, with our client in the hospitality industry, we are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible person for the position of Finance Associate, with hands-on experience in bookkeeping and strong knowledge of German language.
Responsibilities:- Working in the field of accounting and finance
- Operating within the Abacus accounting system with strong proficiency
- Maintaining accounting records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitoring and controlling expenses and budgets
- Posting incoming and outgoing invoices; calculating VAT and other tax liabilities
- Reconciling open items with customers and vendor
- Participating in the preparation of supporting financial documentation
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in similar roles
- Educational background in accounting, finance, or banking
- Experience working for international companies in German and English language
- Experience with the Abacus accounting software and strong knowledge of its functionalities
- Previous experience working in Swiss-based companies is a plus
- High level of organization, responsibility, and proactiveness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in digital tools (Google Workspace, task management tools, CRM systems, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
