Are you looking for a career where you can make a real difference in people’s day. We are seeking a Trainee Train Planner to join our team based from our Head Office in London Bridge (hybrid working). As a Trainee Train Planner, you will support the Train Planning department in the development, production and communication of revised train plans in response to service disruption, engineering work, and other operational changes.You will assist in ensuring amended train plans are accurate, timely, and effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders. This role provides foundational experience in Train Planning and offers development towards becoming a Planning SpecialistCan you move people? Apply now.What you’ll doAssist in preparing draft amended train plans under supervisionCollate operational data to support revised planning requirementsUpdate and maintain planning systems and documentationSupport liaison with internal stakeholders regarding amendmentsEnsure information is submitted in accordance with proceduresMaintain accurate live and historic recordsAssist in evaluating planning scenarios and identifying issuesProvide administrative support to the Amended Planning SpecialistContribute to continuous improvement within Train PlanningComply with all safety, security and company policiesThe experience you’ll needTo be considered for this role we recommend you demonstrate the below in your application;Good standard of general education (GCSE or equivalent desirable)Basic understanding of rail operations or transport planning (desirable)Competent in Microsoft Office applicationsInterest in railway operations and service planningWillingness to learn train planning systems and processesUnderstanding of Southeastern service patterns (desirable)As proud members of the Armed Forces Covenant and Disability Confident Scheme, we will offer you an interview if you apply under these schemes and meet the minimum criteria for the role.
