Triage Analyst

UnitedHealthcare is dedicated to simplifying the health care experience and improving quality care. The Triage Analyst will assist in quality of care investigations, manage regulatory portals, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure effective case management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and triage QOC referrals from internal and external sources
  • Create and maintain confidential electronic investigation files for QOC cases
  • Create and manage entries into the regulatory IAD portal
  • Initiate medical record requests for QOC investigations based upon clinical nursing judgement
  • Collaborate internally with Clinical Quality Analysts and staff in other UHCCP departments
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects and changing priorities; prioritize work products effectively

Skills

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Active, unrestricted LPN license
  • 1+ years working in the health care industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word (ability to open, edit, save and send documents)
  • Microsoft Excel (ability to work with multiple data bases to retrieve and enter information)
  • Experience with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • The position requires a minimum onsite presence of once every six weeks for meetings and office related work. Onsite requirements are subject to change based on business needs
  • This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm MST)
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience working in a deadline driven environment prioritizing responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations
