Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Block is a company that aims to redefine the world’s relationship with money through innovative financial products. They are seeking a motivated Outbound SMB Business Development Representative to engage with small to medium-sized businesses, develop leads, and maintain a sales pipeline for Afterpay and Cash App Pay.

Responsibilities

  • Use cold outreach strategies to develop new leads and opportunities with retailers
  • Develop & maintain a high-volume sales pipeline to deliver on monthly and quarterly KPIs and targets
  • Engage new accounts & maintain existing accounts to drive interest in Afterpay and Cash App Pay
  • Conduct needs analysis to understand the specific requirements and pain points of potential clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce in order to ensure smooth handover to Account Executive

Skills

  • 1+ year of relevant experience in customer service or sales type role (outbound sales experience is a plus)
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting & exceeding KPIs and targets
  • Exceptional communication skills in writing and on the phone
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Self-motivated, competitive individual with the ability to work fast & smart
  • No fear in cold calling and in speaking with C-level executives/business owners
  • High level of enthusiasm and energy
  • Expertise with common software (salesloft, g-suite, salesforce, etc)
  • Payments/ecommerce experience
