What We Look For In a Algebra 2 Tutor
- Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of advanced functions including exponential, logarithmic, rational, and radical expressions, complex numbers, sequences and series, conic sections, matrices, and probability. - Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Algebra 2 curricula and common struggles including logarithm laws, rational function graphing, and conic section equations. Adapts explanations using technology graphing tools, real-world data sets, and scaffolded practice to support students preparing for AP Calculus or SAT/ACT mathematics sections.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
