Business Development Executive – Insurance Domain

About the Role

We are hiring a Business Development Executive with mandatory experience in the Insurance domain. Preferably selling services, outsourcing, staffing, or technology solutions to Insurance Agencies, Brokerages, MGAs, or Carriers in the U.S. This role requires someone who deeply understands insurance operations, industry terminology, workflows, and decision-making dynamics. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a proven track record of generating new business, building strong relationships with insurance leaders, and closing deals in the U.S. insurance market. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Strategy & Lead Generation

  • Identify and qualify potential insurance clients: Agencies, Brokerages, MGAs, TPAs, and Carriers.
  • Run outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, and cold calling focused on insurance-specific decision-makers (CEOs, COOs, Operations Heads, Account Managers).
  • Leverage industry knowledge to create relevant value-based outreach.

2. Client Engagement & Presentations

  • Conduct discovery calls with insurance prospects to understand operational gaps, staffing needs, service pain points, and outsourcing requirements.
  • Present FBSPL’s insurance-specific services such as CSR support, policy checking, renewals, certificates, claims assistance, data entry, customer support, and back-office operations.
  • Prepare and present capability decks, customized proposals, and pricing models.

3. Sales Pipeline & Closure

  • Maintain a healthy funnel of qualified insurance opportunities.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from first contact to contract signing.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets for the U.S. insurance segment.
  • Work closely with operations teams for transition, onboarding, and client hand-off.

4. Relationship Building

  • Establish strong rapport with insurance leaders and build long-term partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
  • Strengthen account retention by aligning client needs with service capabilities.

5. Market Research & Strategy

  • Stay updated on insurance industry trends, automation, outsourcing adoption, and agency challenges.
  • Provide insights to leadership and marketing teams to refine ABM strategies.
  • Analyze competitor offerings in the insurance outsourcing space.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of proven sales or business development experience in the Insurance industry.
  • Experience selling to

Insurance Agencies, Brokerages, MGAs, Carriers , or similar entities.

  • Understanding of insurance operations:
  • Certificates, Policy Checking, Endorsements
  • Customer Support
  • Renewals & Servicing
  • Claims Assistance
  • AMS systems (Applied Epic, AMS360, Hawksoft, NowCerts, etc.)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in selling BPO/KPO/Outsourcing services (preferred).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho.

Preferred Background

  • Experience working with or selling to agencies with 10–500 employees.
  • Prior role in an outsourcing/BPO setup that catered to insurance clients.
  • Existing network or contacts within the U.S. insurance ecosystem.
