Dedicated Fleet Driver - Overnight Route Specialist
Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Dedicated Fleet Driver to join their fully remote operations team. As a remote driver, you will be responsible for operating a dedicated vehicle on a predetermined route, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods across designated regions. Your home base will serve as your operational hub, and you will manage all aspects of your route planning, vehicle maintenance checks, and electronic logging. Key Responsibilities: Execute assigned delivery and pick-up routes with precision and efficiency. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the assigned vehicle. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Utilize onboard technology for route navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication. Provide excellent customer service at delivery and pick-up points. Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all deliveries and vehicle activity. Proactively identify and address potential challenges or delays on the route. Ensure all cargo is handled safely and securely throughout the transit process. Contribute to a positive remote team environment through effective communication. Qualifications: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B, with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a dedicated fleet or long-haul capacity. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems. Strong understanding of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance. Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage routes independently. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the route schedule. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions on the road. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with dispatch and customers. Must have a suitable home location for vehicle parking and accessibility for potential remote support. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
