Job Summary The Elite Job is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented legal transcriptionists who are fluent in Chinese, Malay, and English to join our dynamic team. As a legal transcriptionist, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing legal audio recordings, documents, and proceedings into written form. This remote, work-from-home position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of our clients in the legal industry. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, excellent language skills, and a keen understanding of legal terminology.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Transcribe legal documents, audio recordings, court hearings, depositions, and other legal materials from Chinese, Malay, and English languages.
  • * Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all transcriptions, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • * Edit and proofread transcriptions to ensure clarity, consistency, and grammatical correctness.
  • * Adhere to deadlines, managing multiple transcription tasks efficiently.
  • * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information and client data.
  • * Communicate with clients to clarify any issues or ambiguities in the transcribed content.
  • * Stay updated on legal terminologies and transcription technologies to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • * Fluency in Chinese, Malay, and English with strong command over written communication in all three languages.
  • * Proven experience in legal transcription or a related field (preferred).
  • * Excellent listening and typing skills with the ability to transcribe quickly and accurately.
  • * Proficiency with transcription software and tools.
  • * Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • * Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Experience
  • * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in legal transcription, or a similar role in a legal or administrative capacity (preferred).
  • * Previous work from home experience is a plus.
  • Working Hours
  • * Flexible working hours with the ability to manage your own schedule.
  • * Full-time or part-time availability.
  • * You will be expected to meet agreed-upon deadlines and availability for client communication during business hours.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • * In-depth knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
  • * High typing speed with strong accuracy.
  • * Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
  • * Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • * Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • * Familiarity with transcription software such as Express Scribe or other similar platforms.
