Administrative Editorial Assistant-Freelance

About the Contract Opportunity Six Red Marbles is seeking a remote, freelance editorial assistant contractor to provide editorial and administrative support for our K–12 science project team for approximately 20 hours per week. This is a project-based independent contractor opportunity with a somewhat flexible scheduling and deliverable-focused work. The contractor will collaborate with the project team to coordinate and complete a variety of editorial and operational tasks in support of curriculum development initiatives. This opportunity is well suited for a college student, recent graduate, or transitioning educator interested in gaining experience in educational publishing or edtech while working independently in a remote environment. Scope of Work: Coordinate and track assigned editorial tasks and project deliverables Collaborate with team members as needed to support project timelines Maintain project files and administrative documentation Attend occasional virtual Teams meetings Desired Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Coursework or educational background in education, writing, science, or a related field preferred Experience with writing or editing preferred Reliable computer and internet access Engagement Duration Around 20 hours per week, June through the end of July About Six Red Marbles: Six Red Marbles delivers high-quality educational programs at scale and has decades of experience developing custom materials and assessments that can align with any educational standard.
