  • Hold a valid NY State Visual Arts Initial Certificate
  • Previous experience as a General Education Teacher, with a focus on art instruction preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging visual arts lessons to students assigned across grades (location and grade levels may vary)
  • Utilize various art mediums and technologies to enrich the student learning experience
  • Foster an appreciation for creativity and encourage artistic exploration
  • Assess and document student progress, providing constructive feedback for growth and development
  • Collaborate with faculty members to support school-wide arts initiatives, events, or art shows This position offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week), providing you with ample time to truly make an impact on young minds.
