What You Will Do
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit systems, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures on commercial and industrial job sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute work according to NEC code requirements
- Perform load calculations, conduit bending, wire pulling, and panel terminations independently without requiring journeyman-level supervision
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults in three-phase power systems, motor controls, and building automation systems
- Inspect completed installations and verify compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes before handover
- Mentor and supervise apprentice electricians on the job site, ensuring safe work practices and code-compliant technique
- Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and inspectors to keep the electrical scope on schedule and within budget
- Complete all required work orders, material requisitions, and as-built documentation accurately and on time
What You Need
- Valid state Journeyman Electrician license in the state where you are applying to work
- Minimum 4 years of documented electrical apprenticeship or equivalent field experience
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local jurisdiction amendments
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules independently
- Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across the metro area
- High school diploma or GED — no four-year college degree required or expected
Nice to Have
- OSHA 30 construction safety certification
- Experience with commercial tenant improvement (TI) build-outs or industrial panel upgrades
- Foreman or lead electrician experience managing a crew of 2 – 6 apprentices
- Low-voltage endorsement or fire alarm license
