Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Medical Billing Clerk/Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team in Texas. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for accurate and timely data entry, billing, and claims submission, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Responsibilities

As a Medical Billing Clerk/Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include

• Accurate and timely data entry of patient information into our computer system
• Entry-level billing of claims, including verification of patient information and submission to payers
• Checking payer portals for claims status and resubmitting claims as necessary
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, billing, and claims submission
• Providing exceptional customer service to clients, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborating with team members to achieve shared goals and deadlines
• Staying up-to-date with the latest medical billing software, regulations, and industry developments Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need
• At least 1 year of experience in medical billing and data entry
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and familiarity with various payer guidelines
• Experience working with Medicaid and other government payers
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Great references from past employers and strong tenure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role
• Experience working with medical billing software, such as Epic or Cerner
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and regulations
• Certification in medical billing, such as CPC or CPB
• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Schedule and Work Environment As a remote employee, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home or office.
