Loss Control Consultant Location: Remote, with frequent regional travel Join Waypoint Mutual Waypoint Mutual is a workers’ compensation insurance carrier committed to helping policyholders build safer workplaces and stronger risk-management practices. Our Loss Control team partners with businesses across construction, manufacturing, and related industries to identify hazards, prevent injuries, and support long-term operational success. We are seeking an experienced Loss Control Consultant who can build trusted relationships, evaluate workplace risks, and provide practical safety solutions to policyholders throughout an assigned territory. What You’ll Do Conduct risk-control surveys at construction job sites and manufacturing facilities. Identify safety hazards and recommend practical corrective actions. Evaluate prospective policyholders and provide risk insights to Underwriting. Partner with policyholders to develop and strengthen safety and risk-management programs. Deliver safety consultations, training, and educational resources. Conduct accident investigations and provide timely findings to Claims and leadership. Review safety performance with policyholder management teams and recommend opportunities for improvement. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of visits, findings, and services. Manage your schedule independently while maintaining consistent communication with internal partners. Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays or air travel. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field; relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree. Experience in occupational safety, loss control, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of construction and/or manufacturing operations. Working knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety standards. Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with field employees, business owners, and senior leaders. Ability to work independently in a remote and travel-based role. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, or another relevant professional safety designation. Completion of the OSHA 500 Construction Safety Course. Experience supporting workers’ compensation insurance policyholders.
