[Remote] Sr Accounting Manager – Technical Accounting & Reporting

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accounting Manager to support technical accounting, financial reporting, and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise, public company experience, and advanced SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own and prepare technical accounting memos for complex and non-routine transactions (revenue recognition, leases, accruals, inventory, etc.)
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Lead and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Support and maintain SOX compliance and internal control framework, including documentation and testing
• Partner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverables
• Perform variance analysis and provide clear financial insights
• Drive process improvements and close efficiency initiatives
• Support and optimize systems, including SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery
• Manage a team of direct reports

Skills

• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment, Big 4 strongly preferred
• Experience with U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos in a public or audit environment
• Experience with SOX implementation, control design and testing
• Experience with financial reporting and month-end close
• Experience with FloQast and/or LeaseQuery
• Advanced SAP experience
• Strong technical accounting and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset
