Actus Actuarial Search is a highly respected organization within the Property & Casualty insurance industry, seeking an Actuarial Analyst. This role involves performing complex analytical projects, developing technical expertise, and contributing to strategic business decisions alongside experienced leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform actuarial analyses, modeling, and data interpretation using R, Excel, and other analytical tools
  • Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations that support business strategy and decision-making
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders, and other business teams on key initiatives
  • Present analytical findings and insights to stakeholders across the organization
  • Support the development, validation, and enhancement of actuarial methodologies and models
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen analytical capabilities
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, quality control, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives that support business objectives

Skills

  • 2–5 years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience
  • Progress toward CAS credentials, typically 3–6 exams completed
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and R
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Python, VBA, SAS, STATA, or similar analytical tools
  • Familiarity with databases, reporting tools, and data management concepts
