[Remote] Program Manager - Statewide Training

The Program Manager provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of social service programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and collaboration with partners to support individuals, families, or communities with complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fulfilling all duties related to emergency preparedness, evacuation, and client safety, including support of individuals who may not be capable of self-preservation, in accordance with TN Voices Employee Policies and TN State Department regulations and CARF Standards
  • Oversight and coordination of all program activities, including planning, support, and implementation
  • Supervision of Outreach Specialists and daily operations of programs in the three grand regions
  • Coordination to ensure informational materials are strategically represented at conferences, health fairs, and information fairs across the state
  • Participation in policymaking and advisory groups to support parents and facilitate collaboration between professionals and parents
  • Active advocacy for best practices and system of care principles for children and families in various settings, including mental health planning councils, coalitions, courts, and school meetings
  • Encouragement and support of service coordination for children with SED and their families
  • Ensure Outreach Specialists participate in regional and community meetings, task forces, and coalitions related to child and youth-serving systems
  • Ensure all data and reports (including timesheets, expense reports, and monthly program reports) are properly managed and documented
  • Provide monthly record review and supervision for each Outreach Specialist
  • Coordinate planning and execution of Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week events across the state
  • Determine newsletter content and coordinate with the Program Director and other TN Voices staff to execute the TN Voices quarterly newsletter
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings
  • Train new staff
  • Attend and participate in all required management team meetings
  • Collaborate with the East TN Regional Director on program scope of services, implementation, and sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with CARF standards applicable to the services provided
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred, with experience working with mental health, disabilities, or special populations preferred
  • At least three (3) years of experience working with parents of children/youth, volunteers, state and local agencies, and task forces or other community groups, including parent training, consultation, and support
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Experience in networking with other agencies, organizations, and coalitions is required
  • Excellent collaboration, customer service, supervisory, management, and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the service area and of resources for children with mental health issues
  • Knowledge and personal experience with children who have behavioral disorders
  • Knowledge and experience with juvenile justice, educational, and other child-serving systems
  • Desire to help and support parents of children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) with strong customer service skills
  • Commitment to system of care principles, cultural competency, and effective teamwork
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving/creative thinking skills
  • Excellent written and computer skills
  • Valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance
