[Remote] Process Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Skills Alliance is a growing engineering organization in the water and wastewater sector, seeking a Process Engineer to support the design and delivery of municipal treatment projects. This role involves leading process design activities and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process design activities for municipal water and wastewater projects
  • Develop and standardize methods for process calculations, including flows, removal rates, and application limits
  • Create and review P&IDs, system layouts, and process flow diagrams
  • Provide technical support to project management teams throughout project execution
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and product design
  • Establish quality assurance procedures for process design and manufactured components
  • Develop costing models to demonstrate process efficiencies and cost savings versus alternatives
  • Define safety and operational procedures for process equipment
  • Support sales efforts, including client interactions and technical input during proposals
  • Develop pilot testing protocols and produce detailed pilot reports
  • Produce technical documentation, including product specifications and white papers
  • Assist with system commissioning and startup (remote and onsite)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in biological or drinking water process engineering
  • Strong expertise in highly engineered treatment systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and modelling
  • Experience with BioWin or similar biological process modelling tools
  • Comfortable working with distributed/remote teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
