[Remote] Platform Engineer

Enzo Tech Group is seeking a Data Platform Engineer with a Healthcare background to help improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of a cloud-based data platform. The role involves building monitoring solutions, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and partnering with engineering teams to enhance platform health and performance.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions across AWS environments
- Create dashboards and proactive alerting to identify issues before they impact users
- Improve platform reliability, uptime, and overall system performance
- Support scalability initiatives to ensure the platform can handle future growth
- Investigate production issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence
- Optimize cloud infrastructure and platform performance
- Partner with engineering teams to establish operational best practices and improve platform health
- Drive continuous improvements around monitoring, incident management, and platform stability
Skills
- Healthcare industry experience
- Strong AWS experience
- Hands-on experience with CloudWatch and Grafana
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and alerting
- Experience supporting and owning production environments
- Background in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DataOps
- Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, New Relic, OpenTelemetry
- Terraform, Kubernetes, PagerDuty, or OpsGenie
