[Remote] Data Migration Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. World Insurance Associates is a fast-growing financial services organization specializing in personal and commercial insurance. They are seeking a Data Migration Analyst to support the migration of insurance data from legacy systems to the Applied EPIC platform, ensuring data accuracy and compliance while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to complete required steps for extracting data from multiple source systems
  • Analyze legacy systems to understand data structures, relationships, and business rules
  • Translate legacy data into target system formats, including field-level mappings, source to destination code mapping, default values, and conditional logic
  • Communicate and collaborate with business owners and internal teams (including operations and trainers) to improve data quality and resolve data issues prior to conversion
  • Lead and manage all data conversion–related meetings and calls, including pre-conversion data assessments, requirements discussions, data reviews, issue resolution, and status updates
  • Work closely with the system vendor to identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies
  • Validate migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation with source systems
  • Perform data testing and validation for each sample delivery, ensuring alignment with approved mapping documents and data change requests
  • Provide post-migration support and assist with data-related issues following go-live
  • Adhere to defined process timelines and milestones while managing data conversion activities across multiple concurrent projects

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in data migration or data analysis within the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of insurance data domains, ACORD forms and insurance data standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance management systems
  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory and compliance requirements
