What You Will Do in This Role

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the first point of contact for customers reaching out to us for assistance with billing, account management, collections, and general inquiries. Your ability to listen carefully, respond with empathy, and resolve issues efficiently will directly impact customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Handle inbound and outbound customer calls as well as internet-based communications, providing professional, courteous, and timely support at all times.
  • Active Listening and Rapport Building: Listen attentively to customer concerns, demonstrate genuine empathy, and use every interaction as an opportunity to build a strong, trust-based relationship with the customer.
  • Issue Resolution: Clarify customer requirements through effective probing and questioning, then use decision-support tools, resources, and critical thinking to resolve non-standard or unstructured issues that may require conceptual analysis.
  • Account Management and Collections: Resolve overdue bills, collect payments from responsible parties, and address client queries related to delinquent accounts. Assist customers in developing realistic repayment plans tailored to their financial situations.
  • Product and Service Knowledge: Maintain a broad and current understanding of client products and services so you can answer questions accurately and confidently.
  • Documentation and Accuracy: Prepare complete, accurate, and detailed records for every customer interaction, including appropriate notations within the account management system.
  • Information Retrieval: Be persistent and thorough in tracking, documenting, and retrieving information in the call tracking database to ensure no customer concern falls through the cracks.
  • Fraud Prevention and Disputes: Handle fraud prevention protocols, collections processes, and transaction disputes with professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to company policy.
  • Performance Standards: Consistently meet or exceed contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to service quality, response time, customer satisfaction, and resolution rates.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: A High School Diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of customer service experience in a professional setting.
  • Location: Must reside within a 25 to 30-mile radius of our 1900 Meyer Drury Drive, Arnold, MO site.
  • Technical Skills: Strong personal computer (PC) knowledge and demonstrated computer navigation skills, including proficiency in typing, using multiple applications, and navigating web-based tools.
  • Schedule Flexibility: The ability to work rotational shifts as needed, which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business demand.
  • Work Authorization: In accordance with federal law, only applicants who are legally authorized to work in the United States will be considered for this position. Must reside in the United States or have a valid U.S. address for residence.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Previous experience in collections, billing, accounts receivable, or financial services customer support is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable way.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a natural curiosity for finding answers.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult or escalated situations.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Comfort working with performance metrics and goals.
