Position Summary The Sr. Director, Transformation & Corporate Development, will be a senior member of the Value Creation Office (VCO) at Propelis, a private equity–backed global packaging and creative services holding company formed in 2025 through the merger of SGS & Co and SGK Brand Solutions, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Transformation & Corporate Development. The VCO serves as the strategic command center guiding Propelis to focus on the highest-impact actions that drive lasting value across four key pillars: Merger Integration & Execution, Strategic Initiatives, Corporate Development, and Corporate Strategy, spanning the company’s five lines of business (Core Pack, Print Solutions, Marks, Collide, and 5Flow) and Shared Services. The Sr. Director, Transformation & Corporate Development, will lead multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, lead and develop a team of VCO professionals, shape VCO-led solutions, and drive operational performance improvements across the LoBs. The position requires advanced problem-solving abilities, deep experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs, distinguished financial modeling and synergy tracking capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to drive measurable outcomes at the portfolio or LoB level. The incumbent will display collaborative leadership, strong accountability, clarity in communication at all levels of the organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment. The ideal candidate will display high business acumen, analytical rigor, and executive presence, and be proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). This position will have a minimum of one direct report, with the potential for additional direct reports, and will be expected to lead, coach, and develop team members. This is a remote role Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities This position will be responsible for leading programs, directing teams, and delivering measurable results across VCO-led transformation, integration, and strategic initiatives, working directly with senior and executive leadership across Propelis. Lead multiple VCO projects and workstreams end-to-end, owning scope, schedule, budget, team resourcing, and outcomes from initiative design through stage-gate close-out and value realization; accountable for workstream-level and LoB-level success Oversee and ensure integrity of labor synergy and headcount tracking across the program master roster, including monthly reconciliation of HR (UltiPro) and finance data sources, Synergy ID assignment, and resolution of new-hire and exit discrepancies across the LoBs; own the analytical framework and delegate execution to supporting team members Lead the design, planning, and execution of integration and transformation workstreams — including TSA management — aligned to Propelis’ synergy capture targets, driving progress through the VCO’s structured stage-gate process (L0–L5), monitoring KPIs, financial impacts, risks, and issues, and making escalation decisions with clear rationale Author and own executive-level materials for SteerCo, Board, and ELT reviews, including strategic narratives, financial summaries, and decision documents; advise on how critical communications should be structured and ensure all deliverables meet executive presentation standards Own and continuously improve the VCO’s monthly operating review (MOR) cadence across the five lines of business, producing consolidated views of synergy realization, initiative health, and variance against bank model commitments; identify value leakage and develop mitigating actions Build, own, and refine advanced financial models, business cases, and variance analyses that serve as primary inputs to executive decision-making, synergy tracking, and the financial outlook cadence (budgeting, forecasting); develop new valuation methodologies and analytical frameworks as needed Lead Corporate Development workstreams in partnership with senior VCO leadership, including target screening and pipeline management, commercial and financial diligence, synergy modeling, target operating model design, and Day 1 / Day 100 integration planning; present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders Drive the development of scalable solutions and governance that enable sustainable growth and operational excellence beyond immediate integration; shape VCO-led solutions and improve operational performance across LoBs Lead workstreams within the VCO’s commercial intelligence initiative (Project Oculus), including development of the revenue event taxonomy, product identifier data architecture, and forward demand models that connect packaging event signals to bottoms-up forecasting, capacity planning, and whitespace analysis Proactively identify, scope, and prioritize enterprise-level risks across assigned portfolios; develop mitigation strategies and ensure cross-functional alignment to protect business continuity and synergy commitments Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports and project team members; provide coaching on analytical rigor, executive communication, stakeholder management, and career development; build the VCO talent pipeline and foster a high-performance team culture Competency Requirements Collaborative leadership, strong accountability, and clarity in communication; able to foster team environments across organizational lines within project teams Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to lead teams and the broader VCO organization in solving complex problems, develop substantive insights, balance competing priorities, and recommend trade-offs with clear rationale Distinguished financial modeling capabilities, including the ability to build complex, multi-scenario models from scratch, develop new valuation methodologies, and translate financial analysis into executive-level strategic recommendations Demonstrated ability to develop direct and indirect reports; effective coach who sees project teams as an extension of themselves and communicates effectively up and down the organization Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence; advises on how critical communications should be structured and is relied upon to land mission-critical, complex ideas; mastery of written communications and deliverables across all audience types Strategic thinker who goes beyond analysis to interpret implications and make actionable recommendations linked to the business “big picture” and enterprise value creation Execution mindset with strong strategic thinking, collaboration and influence, adaptability in change, and results orientation Deep expertise in designing engagements that are logical and comprehensive; strong competency in building project teams and models; conveys how workstreams support overall objectives Ability to define problems, collect data from multiple sources, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; develops new methodologies and infuses new thinking into existing frameworks Excellent computer skills — MS Excel (advanced), MS Word, MS PowerPoint Experience with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Wave) or business intelligence tools is required Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; The U.S. pay range for this position is $158,300 USD - $168,300 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
