Position Overview

Based in the Dominican Republic and working remotely, you will partner with cross‑functional product owners, data scientists, and agile delivery teams to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytics solutions. Your expertise in big‑data technologies, statistical modeling, and cloud platforms will enable arenaflex to deliver fast, accurate, and scalable insights to stakeholders worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and implement scalable data models on the arenaflex data lake, ensuring high‑quality, consistent, and governed data for VoC analytics.
• Pipeline Development: Build end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines using Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hive, and Python to ingest, cleanse, and transform survey data from multiple sources.
• Real‑Time & Batch Analytics: Enable both batch and real‑time analytics capabilities, delivering near‑instant insights to product and marketing teams.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and agile squads to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Develop automated testing frameworks and validation scripts to guarantee data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Performance Optimization: Tune queries, optimize storage, and implement best practices to improve processing speed and reduce costs.
• Documentation & Governance: Maintain clear documentation of data lineage, schema definitions, and data‑quality metrics in accordance with arenaxflex’s governance standards.
• Innovation & Automation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, introduce new analytical tools, and drive continuous improvement across the data lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with big‑data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HDFS).
• Proficiency in Python (including PySpark) and shell scripting for data processing and automation.
• Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining data models and pipelines in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and ability to apply them to large‑scale survey data.
• Experience working in an Agile development framework, delivering incremental value in short sprints.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); Spanish proficiency is a plus given the regional focus.
