Software Engineer-II (Big Data) Are you a software developer who loves solving problems? Would you enjoy working in a fast-moving team developing Big Data Cloud Security products? Join our Cloud Security Intelligence group Cloud Security Intelligence group is part of the larger Security Technology Group which has a range of products Adaptive Security Engine, Kona Site Defender, Kona DDoS Defender, Bot Manager, Web Application Protector, Site Shield, and Page Integrity Manager. These provide distributed protection from both DDoS and application & API specific web attacks with on-demand scalability Develop and maintain products in a big data environment As a Big Data Software Engineer in Cloud Security Intelligence group, you will explore a real big data environment and learn what massive data volumes mean. You will design and implement software that brings new functionality, increased reliability and enhanced scalability. What will you do as part of your job: Designing, developing and maintaining Big Data solutions Interacting with research, development, product management, architecture, QA, and support teams throughout the product lifecycle. Understanding and resolving complex technical problems Working with cutting-edge technologies on a cloud environment Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have at least 3 years of relevant coding experience in Java/Scala or other relevant coding languages Have experience in distributed computing preferably Spark development. Have experience in designing, building and maintaining enterprise systems in a big data environment preferably on public cloud. Have experience with Kubernetes & Kafka Have a B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience as a software engineer Work in a way that works for you We recognize that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best can vary for each person.
