Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will own the end‑to‑end financial planning process for the e‑commerce and technology function. You will develop, maintain, and analyze the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and a five‑year strategic plan. Your insights will directly influence product roadmaps, technology investments, and operational efficiencies, ensuring that arenaflex remains at the forefront of retail innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the creation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term strategic models for the e‑commerce and IT organization.
- Strategic Analysis: Partner with senior leaders to evaluate new business initiatives, technology projects, and cost‑saving opportunities, delivering clear ROI and risk assessments.
- Performance Monitoring: Build and maintain dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and trend reporting to senior management.
- Process Improvement: Drive the implementation of agile financial processes, automation tools, and best‑in‑class reporting standards to increase accuracy and speed.
- Project Finance Support: Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and cross‑functional teams to develop business cases, capital allocation models, and post‑implementation reviews for major technology initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a small team of Financial Analysts, ensuring their work aligns with the evolving needs of the e‑commerce and IT finance function.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary financial liaison for the e‑commerce, IT, and operations teams, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the planning and reporting cycles.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional finance experience within a retail or consumer‑goods environment, preferably with exposure to e‑commerce operations.
- Demonstrated experience in a financial analysis or FP&A role supporting a fast‑paced, technology‑focused business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets, develop financial models, and present findings in a clear, compelling manner.
