- Drive the Lakehouse Architecture Vision: Work with stakeholders, partners, and customers to evolve our data platform toward a modern Lakehouse-centric architecture that unifies batch and streaming workloads.
- Architect Shared Libraries and Frameworks: Design, code, and document shared libraries in Scala and Python that encapsulate complex business logic, enabling consistent functionality across teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, architects, and fellow engineers to drive the success of the Data Capture platform, ensuring alignment on priorities, technical direction, and delivery timelines.
- Define Engineering Standards: Lead the development and documentation of internal and external standards for pipeline configurations, naming conventions, partitioning strategies, and data governance best practices.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure high operational efficiency and data quality across platform datasets, ensuring solutions meet SLAs and deliver reliability and accuracy to engineering, data science, operations, and analytics stakeholders.
- Agile Advocacy: Be an active participant in agile and scrum ceremonies, helping the team continuously improve its processes, velocity, and collaboration.
- Customer-Centric Engineering: Build relationships with internal customers to deeply understand their needs, prioritize new features, and deliver incremental platform improvements that drive adoption.
- Documentation and Mentorship: Maintain thorough technical documentation to support data quality and governance, while mentoring junior engineers and evangelizing best practices across the organization.
