[Remote] Network Inventory Support Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kforce Inc is seeking a Network Inventory Support Analyst who will be responsible for post-migration validation, reconciliation, and stabilization of inventory data. This role ensures data accuracy and operational readiness by validating migrated assets and supporting downstream consumers such as orchestration and planning teams.
Responsibilities
- Validate migrated inventory data in Blue Planet Inventory against source systems (e.g., legacy inventory, OSS, spreadsheets, CMDB)
- Perform attribute-level validation (device, port, circuit, service, logical/physical relationships)
- Ensure adherence to inventory data models, naming standards, and normalization rules
- Identify, analyze, and document data gaps, mismatches, and anomalies post-migration
- Partner with migration, data engineering, and Blue Planet configuration teams to resolve defects
- Re-run validation cycles following remediation efforts
- Support hypercare activities following go-live
- Assist operations, network engineering, and fulfillment teams with inventory-related inquiries and issues
- Validate inventory readiness for downstream systems such as orchestration, assurance, and planning tools
- Produce validation reports, defect logs, and reconciliation summaries
- Maintain documentation for inventory rules, assumptions, and validation outcomes
- Support audit and governance requirements for inventory accuracy
- Work closely with network engineering, OSS/BSS, and program management teams
- Participate in migration checkpoints, defect triage sessions, and readiness reviews
Skills
- Hands-on experience with Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) or similar network inventory platforms
- Experience validating large-scale inventory or OSS data migrations
- Strong SQL or data analysis skills (queries, reconciliation, comparisons)
- Ability to work with flat files, extracts, and reports (CSV, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with OSS ecosystems and integration touchpoints
- Experience supporting inventory for activation, provisioning, or assurance use cases
- Understanding of service lifecycle and impact of inventory accuracy on operations
- Strong understanding of telecom/network inventory concepts
- Physical and logical network elements
- Circuits, services, ports, and relationships
- L2/L3 topology concepts
- Experience with Blue Planet orchestration or activation workflows
- Exposure to inventory source systems such as legacy OSS, CMDBs, or custom inventory platforms
- Experience in post-migration hypercare or transformation programs
- Prior work in large-scale telecom, ISP, or network modernization initiatives
