[Remote] Director of Business Development

Fidus Systems is a leading electronic system design and development company specializing in innovative solutions for emerging technology markets. The Director of Business Development will drive and close new business opportunities, generate revenue through strategic activities, and position the company as a design consultant for clients' innovative products.
Responsibilities
- Drive and close new business opportunities selling Fidus products and services
- Generate revenue through prospecting, up-selling and cross-selling activities within a territory or account
- Leverage existing partner relationships in the industry for introductions to new contacts
- Develop in-depth knowledge of client’s business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into opportunities for us to win their business
- Position Fidus as an early-stage design consultant in the conception and delivery of our customer’s innovative products
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience working with semiconductors, electronic design services, embedded software or similar industry experience
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent
- Ability to successfully demonstrate the required technical competency in electronic design services or similar industries
- Prior experience selling services in both turnkey design and outsourced staffing, for high speed, high complexity designs is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business will be considered an asset
