[Remote] SAP Consultant

Remote Full-time Hiring now

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LTM is a company seeking an SAP Manufacturing Consultant to drive large-scale, global manufacturing and product lifecycle transformation programs. The role involves leveraging expertise in SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and PLM to design and deliver innovative solutions while acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and blueprinting phases of SAP S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, or Hybrid implementation projects, focusing on Manufacturing and Product Lifecycle processes across discrete manufacturing, engineer-to-order (ETO)/project-based manufacturing, and process manufacturing (e.g., plan-to-produce, production planning and execution, quality management, batch/serial traceability where applicable, and product data/BOM governance across the lifecycle)
  • Define end-to-end solution architecture for manufacturing and PLM, including master data and product structure governance, production planning, shop-floor execution, quality processes, and integration touchpoints with procurement, inventory, logistics, sales, and finance
  • Translate complex business objectives into actionable, integrated SAP solutions and process maps
  • Ensure solution designs adhere to architectural governance frameworks, enterprise architecture principles, and industry best practices (SAP Activate, Clean Core)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders (COOs, Operations Directors, Manufacturing Heads, Engineering and Product leaders), guiding them through their S/4HANA transformation journey and roadmap decisions
  • Lead and facilitate complex workshops (fit-to-standard, gap analysis, blueprinting) with global and regional stakeholders to gather requirements and drive consensus on future-state design
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of SAP S/4HANA innovations (e.g., Fiori UX, Embedded Analytics, SAP BTP integration, IoT/Industry 4.0 capabilities) to clients, balancing strategic value with technical feasibility
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to cross-functional, global delivery teams (functional, technical, data, and integration teams) to ensure cohesive and traceable solution delivery
  • Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, including configuration, testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), data migration strategy, change management support, and transition to Application Management Support (AMS)
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with large-scale S/4HANA implementations, managing issues and dependencies effectively
  • Drive adoption of automation and continuous improvement within manufacturing and product lifecycle processes by leveraging S/4HANA capabilities and standardization best practices

Skills

  • Minimum 18+ years of overall SAP experience in functional consulting or solution architecture roles, with a strong focus on SAP Manufacturing and Quality (e.g., PP, QM and related production execution/integration scenarios)
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and/or PLM-related capabilities, having participated in at least two full, end-to-end S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects (Greenfield/Brownfield)
  • Deep expertise in manufacturing and product lifecycle business process flows—including discrete manufacturing, engineer-to-order (ETO)/project-based manufacturing, and process manufacturing—and their integration touchpoints with other domains (Finance, Sales, Procurement, Inventory/Warehouse, Logistics). Solid awareness of upstream/downstream supply chain processes is expected to design effective end-to-end integrations, but deep supply chain specialization is not required
  • Experience supporting a range of manufacturing strategies and design patterns (e.g., make-to-stock, make-to-order, assemble-to-order, configure-to-order), including variant configuration dependencies, BOM/routing/recipe management, and shop-floor execution integration
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions within a consulting environment, managing client expectations, and leading delivery teams (onshore/offshore models)
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics solutions (e.g., Datasphere, Business Data Cloud) an advantage
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, GxP) is highly beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus
  • SAP S/4HANA Certification(s) in Manufacturing, Quality Management, or relevant modules is a significant advantage; PLM-related certification/credentials are a plus
  • Familiarity with project methodologies such as SAP Activate, Agile, and Waterfall
  • Familiarity with and certification in SAP Signavio and LeanIX is a plus
