[Remote] Epic Clinical Designer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Inova Health is a leading nonprofit healthcare provider in Northern Virginia, seeking an Epic Clinical Designer to facilitate communication between clinical and IT teams. This role will oversee application projects, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to organizational goals while driving improvements in healthcare technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaboration between project managers, trainers, and build analysts
  • Act as a liaison between clinical and IT teams, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives
  • Support the development and implementation of Epic systems and workflows
  • Assist in the design, configuration, and testing of Epic applications
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to the IT team during project execution
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry best practices
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback from end-users
  • Train and educate clinical staff on the use of Epic systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve clinical-related Epic issues
  • Stay updated with Epic system enhancements and industry trends

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • 6 years of project experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility, within an Epic or healthcare IT environment
  • Epic certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related field
  • Epic Certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with Epic implementation
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare workflows and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Epic applications and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Passion for healthcare technology and innovation
  • Previous project management experience within Epic preferred
