Responsibilities

• Write engaging articles covering matches, players, tactics, transfers, and key developments
• Produce a mix of match analysis, opinion pieces, deep dives, and feature-style content
• Translate complex tactical and statistical insights into accessible, reader-friendly narratives
• Deliver well-structured, original, and factually accurate content within agreed deadlines
• Proactively pitch relevant topics based on trends, fixtures, and audience interest
• Ensure content aligns with brand voice, editorial standards, and SEO best practices

Skills

• Demonstrable experience writing sports-related content (portfolio required)
• Possess deep knowledge of at least one major sport and follow it closely
• Naturally analyse games beyond the surface level — spotting tactical nuances, performance trends, and key moments
• Can articulate strong, well-reasoned opinions supported by data and context
• Understand how to balance analysis with storytelling to create engaging content
• Have excellent written English and strong attention to detail
• Native speaker of one of Nordic languages
• Are reliable, self-driven, and comfortable working in a freelance/remote setup
• Have a basic understanding of SEO and digital publishing
