[Remote] Sr. Product Marketing Manager - Release Marketing & PMM Operations

Remote Full-time Hiring now

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Samsara is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, helping organizations improve their physical operations through IoT data. They are seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to build and run the operational foundation for their Product Marketing team, focusing on release marketing and cross-functional alignment for product innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Product Launch Plan: Partner with R&D and PMM stakeholders to gather the full feature list, organize features into coherent narratives, and tier them based on strategic priority. Map launches to key market moments, and maintain the master launch plan as the single source of truth
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Run alignment sessions across Product, GTM, and Marketing leadership — owning the materials, driving to clear decisions, and tracking open items such as naming through to resolution
  • Coordinate Execution Across Tiers: Own the marketing planning and coordination meetings that keep launches on track. Partner with Demand Gen, Enablement, and Marketing leads to optimize timing, reduce messaging overlap, and amplify impact
  • Measure Launch Effectiveness: Track program-level metrics including comms engagement, sentiment, and product adoption. Provide regular reporting to PMM leadership and surface insights that inform future strategy
  • Evolve the Launch Playbook: Maintain a prioritized backlog of process gaps, convene cross-functional working groups to address root causes, and lead ongoing research into how Samsara's launch approach should evolve — especially by leveraging AI
  • Build and Run PMM Operational Programs: Design and lead high-impact team programs such as content audits, team offsites, etc
  • Create Scalable Frameworks: Develop templates, playbooks, and toolkits that reduce friction and improve consistency across launches and PMM content
  • Elevate the PMM Team: Act as a force multiplier — identifying opportunities to improve how the team works and delivering on them

Skills

  • 5+ years in Product Marketing, Release Marketing, Product Ops or related role
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable processes and programs in a fast-moving environment — ideally related to new product launches and/or release marketing programs
  • Strong track record of driving alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing organizations at multiple levels of seniority
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, building without a playbook, and iterating quickly
  • A track record of using technology – especially AI – to reimagine process and customer experiences
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs with competing timelines and dependencies
  • Has helped a PMM team level up through operational improvements, shared rituals, or team programming
  • Can craft compelling messaging and identify content that will resonate or not with audiences
