[Remote] Mechanical Engineer II (CFD)

They are seeking an entry-to-mid level Mechanical Engineer II with experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to collaborate on various high-profile projects. The role involves designing mechanical systems, overseeing production, and coordinating with teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases
  • Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers
  • Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings
  • Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers
  • Major equipment selection and scheduling

Skills

  • 2+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience, including hands-on CFD modeling and simulation to design and optimize mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Valid EIT Certification or Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
  • Experience working independently and managing priorities
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Cadence, BIM and Revit
