[Remote] Staff Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PLTFRM is a company that owns a portfolio of retail sales agencies helping disruptive D2C brands drive sales at retail. They are seeking a Staff Accountant responsible for billing, maintaining general ledger accounts, and managing accounts receivable across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Recording weekly treasury transactions as assigned
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Performing monthly billing procedures
  • Review transactions for accuracy
  • Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies
  • Identify past-due accounts receivable and contact delinquent customers
  • Record customer payments and transactions accurately
  • Assist with gathering support for the annual audit
  • Assist with payroll management (i.e. payroll processing, setting up new employees and state withholding accounts)
  • Inbox management

Skills

  • A degree in Accounting
  • At least 1-2 years of overall accounting experience
  • At least 1 year of service business operational accounting experience
  • Ability to collaborate with a team
  • Comfortable in a high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of services businesses
  • A passion for leveraging systems and driving process improvements
  • Experience with full close-cycle accounting
  • Experience in QBO and related software tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
