[Remote] Fractional Account Executive
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Confidential is a Microsoft Gold Partner and FastTrack implementation firm specializing in Dynamics 365 enterprise implementations and Data & AI transformation. They are seeking a Fractional Account Executive to develop enterprise opportunities from existing networks and collaborate with delivery teams to close high-value engagements on a commission basis.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify enterprise opportunities within your network where Dynamics 365, Data & AI, or agentic implementation is a real need or in active evaluation
- Formally register opportunities through the partner management process to establish protection and commission rights
- Develop initial opportunity context — stakeholder map, business drivers, budget signals, and competitive landscape
- Leverage executive relationships to connect the delivery and sales team with the right decision-makers and economic buyers
- Participate in deal strategy sessions and executive-level conversations where your presence and credibility accelerate the sales cycle
- Navigate complex buying dynamics within client organizations to increase win probability
- Remain actively engaged from opportunity introduction through contract close
- Represent practice capability honestly and compellingly; maintain the professional standards expected of a senior advisor
- Participate in joint account planning and pipeline reviews as needed
- Provide market intelligence on buyer priorities, competitive dynamics, and emerging needs in your vertical
- Leverage provided AI-powered tools for outreach support, deal tracking, proposal assistance, and commission reporting
Skills
- 15+ years of enterprise technology sales, consulting, or advisory experience with a demonstrated track record closing engagements at $500K+ in value
- Proven ability to originate, develop, and close complex multi-stakeholder enterprise deals in the Microsoft Business Applications or adjacent ecosystem
- History of operating as a trusted advisor to CxO-level buyers — CIO, CTO, COO, CFO, or VP Operations
- Experience navigating enterprise buying processes including committee decisions, procurement, legal review, and budget cycles
- Active, current CxO-level network in at least one core vertical: Energy, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Heavy Equipment, or Construction
- Relationships are current and active — not historical contacts requiring significant rebuild time before engagement
- Demonstrated ability to secure executive introductions and advance opportunities through personal credibility and trust
- Direct familiarity with one or more Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications: Finance & Operations, Business Central, Field Service, Project Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Customer Insights
- Working knowledge of enterprise ERP or CRM implementation lifecycle — discovery, scoping, proposal, procurement, and delivery handoff
- Ability to conduct credible executive-level conversations about digital transformation, operational technology, and AI adoption in industrial environments
- Currently operating independently — as a consultant, advisor, fractional executive, board member, or PE operating partner — with flexibility to dedicate focused time to deal pursuit
- Self-directed and outcomes-oriented; no requirement for day-to-day management oversight
- High professional integrity with a long-term, trust-based approach to client and partner relationships
- Comfortable operating on a commission-only basis — earning is tied directly to closed revenue with no draw or retainer
- Former Microsoft field or partner sales background in Business Applications or related cloud solutions
- Senior experience at a top-tier Microsoft Dynamics implementation firm at a delivery or business development level
- Existing Microsoft Partner Network standing, MPNID, or active co-sell relationship
- Familiarity with Microsoft's co-sell motion, CPOR attribution, or Partner Center operations
- Understanding of AI and Copilot capabilities within the Dynamics 365 stack
- Active advisory, board, or PE operating partner role keeping you in front of enterprise technology buyers
- Experience with hyperscaler marketplace transactions (Azure Marketplace, AppSource)
- Prior fractional sales, executive advisory, or independent consulting engagements of $500K+
