[Remote] Human Resources Generalist - Recruitment and Systems
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Artemis Wax Corp. is the largest franchisee within the European Wax Center system, specializing in hair removal services. The Human Resources Generalist will manage daily HR functions with a focus on systems, processes, and recruitment, while supporting the operational needs of the company.
Responsibilities
- HRIS and systems subject matter expert. Has advanced skills and experience with all relevant HRIS (Paycom preferred) and other HR platforms. Works with and collaborates with center managers and other operational leaders to understand skills and competencies required for open positions. Uses Predictive Index behavioral tools to support manager’s hiring decisions and employee development. Subject matter expert on applicant tracking systems and tools to assist hiring managers with openings resulting in a quicker time to fill for open positions
- Conducts reference checks as needed for management positions and supports the Payroll / Administration team with background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring management matters, complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as appropriate
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Performs other duties and manages projects, as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, related field required or applicable experience within a like environment
- Recruiting management experience is a must
- At least one year of human resource management experience with recruiting management experience is a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations both Federal and in the states the company operates
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS / Payroll systems, Applicant tracking systems or related software
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (Paycom)
- Must be able to work independently to meet deadlines and accomplish duties as assigned
- SHRM-CP a plus
- Experienced in HR support within multi-unit high-end retail, beauty, fitness or hospitality
