[Remote] Director of Sales, Central Region (IC)

They are seeking a high-energy, relationship-first Director of Sales to drive growth across emerging and mid-market dealership customers in the central US, focusing on building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-volume outbound sales activity to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of smaller dealership groups, specifically targeting dealerships under 50 rooftops
- Prospect relentlessly through calls, emails, social outreach, events, and referrals to generate new opportunities
- Build strong relationships quickly with dealer principals, GMs, sales managers, service leaders, and training champions—earning trust through credibility and consistency
- Run a consultative sales process by uncovering dealership pain points, aligning RockED to operational goals, and clearly communicating ROI
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact through close, including demos, proposals, negotiation, and launch handoff
- Leverage networking and channel strategies to create warm entry points into new dealerships and accelerate deal velocity
- Maintain disciplined follow-up and forecasting using CRM activity, pipeline hygiene, and clear next steps for every opportunity
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success and Content to ensure smooth onboarding and set up customers for long-term success
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and proactively drive renewals and upsells
- Represent the RockED brand externally with high professionalism at dealer meetings, events, and industry gatherings
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, and must come with automotive experience
- Proven success in high-volume outbound sales roles where activity, resilience, and pipeline generation are critical
- Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships rapidly across a wide range of dealership stakeholders
- Comfortable managing many smaller accounts simultaneously, with high attention to detail and urgency
- Confident, persuasive communicator who can be consultative in discovery but aggressive and persistent in outreach
- Track record of hitting or exceeding targets in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Strong organizational habits, CRM discipline, and ability to prioritize daily actions that drive revenue
- Familiarity with dealership operations, training challenges, and performance levers is a strong plus
- MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE SAAS EXPERIENCE
