[Remote] Senior Data Scientist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Convergenz is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical models and machine learning solutions. This role involves guiding modeling strategy, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with various stakeholders to translate analytical insights into actionable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze contact center data (call volume, performance, trends)
  • Develop KPIs, metrics, and performance insights
  • Support decision-making with actionable analytics
  • Develop machine learning models using frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar libraries
  • Perform feature engineering, dataset preparation, and model optimization to improve predictive accuracy and operational performance
  • Evaluate models using appropriate statistical methods and performance metrics, documenting findings and informing iterative improvements

Skills

  • Ability to hold a position of public trust with the U.S. government
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience for Mid-level role
  • 2+ years of experience building and evaluating machine learning models or performing advanced analytics
  • Proficiency in Python and core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib/Seaborn)
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Experience with operational datasets (contact center preferred)
  • SQL, Python, Excel, PowerBI and data visualization experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate insights to stakeholders
