[Remote] Travel MEP Project Manager - Mission Critical

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Scott Humphrey Corporation is a leading national builder specializing in mission critical and advanced technology construction. This role is responsible for managing all MEP scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover, ensuring coordination, cost control, and technical execution across highly complex systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of MEP scopes including budgeting, procurement, execution, commissioning, and closeout
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls subcontractors, ensuring alignment with contract, schedule, and project goals
  • Lead coordination between design teams, field teams, and subcontractors to resolve clashes and maintain constructability
  • Develop and track MEP budgets, change orders, and cost forecasts with a strong focus on cost control
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure installation aligns with design intent, sequencing, and project schedule
  • Drive procurement of long lead MEP equipment including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, chillers, and air handling systems
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation specific to MEP scopes
  • Coordinate commissioning activities including pre functional testing, system startups, and integration with commissioning agents
  • Interface directly with clients, engineers, and third party consultants on technical and schedule related matters
  • Support project scheduling efforts, including development of detailed MEP sequences and milestone tracking
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and mission critical performance expectations
  • Lead project closeout including turnover documentation, as builts, and system training for owners

Skills

  • 5+ years of construction experience with a focus on MEP systems
  • 3+ years of experience in a Project Manager or MEP focused role
  • Experience managing MEP scopes on data center or mission critical projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, power distribution, and critical infrastructure
  • Experience with procurement and management of major MEP equipment
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors across complex builds
  • Experience coordinating with commissioning teams and understanding system startup processes
